Elections for the South Dakota House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014. The general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Incumbents Patrick Kirschman and Karen Soli were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Eric Leggett ran as an independent candidate. Kirschman and Soli defeated Leggett in the general election.[5][6][7]

Soli won election in the 2012 election for South Dakota House of Representatives District 15. Soli and incumbent Patrick Kirschman defeated former District 15 incumbent Mitch Fargen in the Democratic primary on June 5. No Republican candidates filed for election. Soli and Kirschman were unopposed in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Jenna Haggar (R) won re-election in District 10.[8][9]
