The rise of social media and doubt campaigns have eroded the public trust and alienated people from serving. The Supreme and lower courts are pushing increasingly more to the States. I believe today, more than ever, we need to stand up to serve our communities. I live in Hamilton, Massachusetts with my family. As a Planner, I have dedicated the last two decades of my career, bringing communities together to shape a better future for people and their environments. I have worked among diverse parties to educate, understand, listen, and ensure fairness in permitting and long-range planning. I have passed over a hundred local regulatory amendments and brought back millions to the community. The 2nd Essex District deserves a tenacious advocate and leader that will act on the most pressing issues. My campaign is about - Supporting People - Building a Strong Future - Protecting our Freedoms.
  • Supporting People: Access to affordable childcare, eldercare, mental health services and housing. These are the issues affecting, our friends, our neighbors, our loved ones every single day. No one should face financial or geographic obstacles when it comes to accessing equitable healthcare services. I support 100% Universal Healthcare in Massachusetts and expansion of mental health services capacity. Our population is aging, our communities need guidance in planning for care, housing and services for our elders that are diverse, accessible, and affordable.
  • Building a strong future: We are stronger when communities work together to improve our environment and economy. Massachusetts leads the country in research and technology. This district is home to a tremendous amount of talent. The arts and agriculture of the Northshore give us our soul. Our small businesses are the heart of our communities. We are innovating. There is work going on today using biologics to breakdown harmful plastics and creating individualized therapeutics. We are doing work here - saving people and the environment for the future, while improving our fiscal stability.
  • Protecting our Freedoms: Democracy as we know it is at tremendous risk. I will fight for our democracy and equitable access to voting. I am a champion of reproductive freedoms, pro-choice, pro-contraceptives – pro-doctor/patient healthcare. Currently, the highest court and states across the nation are making decisions that threaten our democracy and our individual rights. I am a champion of women’s rights and reproductive rights. We have seen a frightening glimpse into a future where woman’s bodies are controlled by government policy once again. These actions are direct assaults on our freedoms as women.
Preparing our communities and our people for success. This means taking a wide lens to understand that everything is interconnected. We cannot have an economy without places to work, live, transportation and education. We cannot care for our people without childcare, healthcare services and diverse housing and transportation options. We will not have an earth unless we care for the environment. And we will not live free without a strong democracy or with anyone telling us what to do with our bodies. I will fight for our freedoms, provide funding for regional priorities such as infrastructure, transportation, housing, water, and the environment. I will collaborate with communities to understand their goals and advocate for the tools to reach them.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Massachusetts

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
