Pleuss ran in the 2012 election for Wisconsin State Assembly District 56. He was defeated by Dave Murphy in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012. Richard Schoenbohm defeated Diana Lawrence in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Republican Michelle Litjens did not run for re-election.[1] The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
