|I was born in Putnam County, MO and attended elementary school there. I graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State) with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I also have an AAS in Nursing from Excelsior College. I also held a Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic license for 20 years. I was the youngest department head ever at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, managing the Emergency Department and Emergency Medical Services. While there I also taught Emergency Medical Technology at Northeast Missouri State University. I joined the Air Evac Lifeteam in West Plains, MO in 1986 when there were nine of us and a helicopter. When I retired in 2020, we had become Global Medical Response, the largest medical transportation company. I am a member of the Board of Directors of Ozarks Medical Center, Development Board of Missouri State University-West Plains, Board of Director of the Child Advocacy Center and Galloway Park Board.
I served as a board member of the West Plains Area Chamber of Commerce and received their Volunteer of the Year and Citizen of the Year awards.- I am a Christian Conservative
