I believe the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office is to Represent All People, even the ones that didn't vote for them. Take into consideration what is being presented and how it will impact us all long term.
The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren
The relationship between the Governor and State legislature is important. In order for the Governor to accomplish their policy objectives and plans for the state must have the support from the legislature. The entities must be willing to put personal feelings aside and decide upon what's best for the State.
My state's greatest challenge will be the war against Healthcare and poverty. Adequate healthcare is under attack in Mississippi and we must do something about it.
No. The people are tired of electing politicians that's playing political games. They want someone that is going to do the work and represent them. Sometimes its best to have a candidate with no experience. They aren't corrupt or are participants in the game of politics.
Yes it is very important to build relationships with other legislators. We all have job to do and in order to do that job we must be willing to put our differences aside, and work together.
Yes, being able to compromise and knowing how is a core skill for governing. Compromise is not easy, especially when it relates to issues that divides voters. As a representative of the people, I would have to seek the best solution for the people.
