Biography
January Walker was born in Nuremberg, Germany, and lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.[1][2] Walker earned a bachelor's degree from Utah Valley University in 2021.[1] Her career experience includes working as the CEO of Stingray, the director of product management in cybersecurity and identity with a financial company, and a product owner with a healthcare technology company.[3][4]

January is passionate about implementing a people-centric government enabled through technology. She believes technology is a tool that will radically improve government processes, help economic stabilization, and restore the people's trust in the US government in ways we haven’t experienced in decades. Although she grew up in a military family and has lived in Europe, Central America, and various states across the USA, she is an 8th generation Utahn and has made Utah her permanent home since 2005. January currently resides in District 4 with her Bernese Mountain dog, Epic.
January graduated from Utah Valley University with a Degree in Business Management with minors in Finance & Economics. January understands economic issues, and has the education, knowledge, and proven experience to make an immediate impact in Congress and deliver rapid & innovative solutions to the people.

The future of younger generations never should have been mortgaged, & the amount of debt that has been passed onto younger generations is immoral. The responsibility to eliminate the debt falls onto the shoulders of workers today. It requires government leadership that has both the capacity, innovation, & discipline to eliminate it.
Education
The education that we currently provide our K-12 & college students does not align with the workforce that is needed today, nor with the workforce needed for the next 20 years & beyond. The USA is losing ground to other countries in terms of education & future workforce viability. We need to rapidly reinvest in students & schools to stay on the path to future generational success.
Environment
As a result of the climate crisis & overconsumption of water, there is a year-over-year low water level throughout the western half of the USA. These low water levels are amplified by decreasing precipitation & rising populations. The United States needs leaders that aggressively & actively implement viable & technology-forward solutions to tackle the water shortage & consumption.
Technology
“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” It’s easy to jump on the bandwagon and follow along with what everyone else is doing. But true leaders are the ones coming up with out-of-the-box ideas that set a new standard for “business as usual.”

On August 11, 2001, I visited the Twin Towers and went to the top of Tower 2. I remember the elevator ride to the top of the tower and I asked the elevator operator if anyone took the stairs and how long it would take. They described walking up the stairs to the top and how the tower was designed with tiers. The tour that followed was with people who worked on the top floor. They showed us around and encouraged us to press an elongated coin from the Penny press.

Women's Healthcare Access January does not support government mandated childbirth or laws that limit women's access to birth control. Especially in cases of rape, incest, and at the risk of health and safety of the woman. She does support laws that support preventative healthcare for both men & women, and protects women from violence. LGBTQ+ January believes in "Liberty & Justice for All" and that individuals who identify as LGBTQ+ should be treated with acceptance, compassion, and respect. Countries are stronger when all people -- regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or sex characteristics -- are fully recognized as free and equal members of their society. Capitalism January is a capitalist, or as she likes to say "a capitalist with heart." She believes in contributing to society and taking care of our nation's health. January focuses. on pragmatic legislation that restores the middle class and helps bring up the lower class. 2nd Amendment January supports the right to firearms and champions technology solutions such as biometrics being added to weaponry to prevent unauthorized individuals from utilizing a firearm without permission.[5] |
