John Morton Eshleman
John Morton Eshleman (June 14, 1876 – February 28, 1916) served as California Lieutenant Governor from January 15, 1915 until his death on February 28, 1916. He was a member of the Progressive Party.[1]
Elections
Prior to his election as Lieutenant Governor, Eshleman won election to the California Public Utilities Commission and, before that, as District Attorney of Imperial County. His political career began in 1903 when the Governor appointed him to be Deputy State Labor Commissioner.[1]
