I'm the utility infielder of endless and untold professional skills. Comfortable working a job site with a chainsaw in hand, or at the podium in front of 1,000 speaking on behalf of my company at the moment.

As a write-in candidate for Florida's 6th congressional district, I'm the no party affiliation candidate where you get to bubble in the "write-in" oval (like an SAT test), and then "write-in" my name. Please allow me to recommend you write "Gerry Nolan" as powerfully and large as you can in the space provided. It may be only one of the votes cast, but when their all the votes are being counted, don't want there to be any difficulty in reading your vote, and your desire, for me to represent you in the 117th Congress.

Consumer of information that can often summarizes the situation for others down stream that do not have such time to dedicate to such a task. Understand that there are opinions of the issues, as well as news reported of actual events and happenings. Confusing the two can be gravely dangerous and economically foolish.

Avid runner and cyclist. Rarely prepare my own food. Prefer to eat where, and when, my body thinks it will find the required nutrition of the day. Prefer great conversations with a great meal and a great beverage. However, can compromise with good meal and good beverage, but the conversation needs to stay great!
  • Will champion government in the digital sunshine... everything else will take care of itself.
  • Speaking truth to power in the greater Daytona Beach area for 40 years.
  • Are you better off today than two years ago? If not, Gerry Nolan represent the reset button.
All things cyber! From artificial intelligence ("AI") to quantum computing and quantum communications. National defense and the private sector increasing intermingled around the globe. Enjoy reading research papers and communicating with authors.

Believe decades experience as a staff vice president at both an economic development commission and a chamber of commerce can be applied to advancing the success of multiple existing qualified economic opportunity zones in the 6th CD. Did you know capital gains in opportunity zones investment generates are not taxed, as long as the investor holds it for 10 years or more?

Healthcare is a cabal of providers (profit and not-for-profit), Big Pharma, manufacturers, oh, and patients. Unknown what legislation will be debated as part of the 117th Congress, but will advocate for "veterans to the front of the line" in all my efforts. Additionally, any veteran should be able to walk into any healthcare facility and be treated immediately for both acute and existing injuries with no co-pay.

Florida's 6th congressional district sits directly in the middle of the St. Johns River Water Management District. Access to fresh drinking water and guarding against salt water intrusion will be on my agenda every day for this district and our country.
Lets go with five I possess:

1) Empathy for their fellow American citizen whose vote is equal in power to every other American.

2) The same level of unquestioned resiliency and endless hope provided by my parents of 92yo (Dad) and 90yo (Mom).

3) Common sensibilities applied to unique challenges.

4) An understanding of the range of diversity in the American work experience. I've assembled portions of city blocks for redevelopment and been worth millions of dollars "on-paper." And, in the last decade, I've "clocked" in on-time as an full time employee (cast member) at the Walt Disney World Co. for eight continuous years. Those two elements of my life were overlapped with the continuity of four door truck and two dogs. Again, a centrist understanding of what is "work".

5) Continual quest of self-learning combined with do it yourself (DIY) action. Opting to fix the vehicle, or computer, ones self. Voters can expect me to be a very DIY hands on representative in Congress. Zen and the Art of congressional leadership!
That Gerry Nolan, the first federally elected no party affiliation write-in candidate, cast the deciding 218th vote more times in the 117th Congress than any previous member of the United States House of Representatives.

Sure, had the standard newspaper delivery route in 6th grade. Actually combined three adjacent routes into one easily managed with economies of scale that generated cash in my pocket on collection days. Route included Nobel Laureates from Princeton University and your normal neighbors with good dogs, as well as bad dogs.

First hourly job was executive health club attendant at YMCA in Princeton, NJ, from 1979-1980 when a junior in high school. Monday through Friday from 6 pm until 10 pm. Would arrive at work after HS football/baseball practice to relieve the day attendant. Then, responsible for laundry (HUGE amounts of laundry), as well as quick stand-in to take the shot in a random game of billiards (if someone was called away for a phone call), or racquetball match when someone didn't show. Proper positioning of an old school big screen TV, so the entire club area could see the big game, was paramount. Among the patrons included professors from Princeton University and world class researchers from RCA Sarnoff Research. The conversations listened to, and participated in, were amazing!

However, still distinctly remember the 10 second walk at the end of each night through the pitch black shower stalls with the water dripping/echoing combined w the damp smell. After locking down maybe 10 exit doors at the evening and looking in all the hiding places, would still dread that walk. Worked this job until the week family relocated to Ormond Beach, FL, for a professional opportunity of my Dad's. Family required unanimous agreement that we would relocate prior to my senior year of high school. We did.

First "corporate" position after graduating college was selling business equipment in an area now in FL's 6th congressional district. However, that was only after being first to license, print, and sell officially licensed boxer shorts (yes, underwear) on college campuses around the United States and producing first ever national championship 12 intramurals.
"All Along the Watch Tower", version by Devlin, Labrinth and Ed Sheeran. Devlin's instrumental plays upon the opening of a couple applications on one computer. Certain my neighbors understand on occasion the volume does get turned up to 11. Neil Young and Pearl Jam have covered this Bob Dylan tune too. Every time it's a "drop the mic" moment!
Proportional representation as close to the peeps as possible that is calibrated via general election every two years; wiping the slate clean, so we as a republic debate a new agenda of issues, yet again. Because each member stands before their constituents and asks for their vote every two years, the United States is guaranteed that 435 citizens will come together and discuss what is important to the people of their district. The Senate can ponder the United States' needs, but the members of the House are more action oriented.
We will continue to be digitally challenged personally, and as a democracy, with cyber attacks designed to weaken our physical infrastructure and confuse real arguments. Speed at which change comes at all of us is now breathtaking. And the laws that are generated at a federal, state, and local level change so fast, that sometimes the best we can do is just barely keep up. Hope to provide the leadership in Washington, D.C., to help get us (U.S.) ahead of the curve.

America was built on the enlightenment provided by such devices as Gutenberg's printing press which allowed your Continental Congress to crank out, and distribute, 200 broadsides to the thirteen states within days. Can only imagine what our Founding Fathers might have done with The Declaration of Independence and a Twitter handle. The speed and efficiency that twenty-first century technology offers a democracy is inspiring. We will figure it out. And, never again allow the nobility of priests and princes to decide our fates.

Yes, the United States is based on a culture of contention, but suspect no different than the earliest years of our democracy - now looked to by the leadership of an entire wired world! "Do it yourself" desktop patriotism aggregates and allows every American to hyperlink their fates seeking a rising tide of economic, and social, benefits. At the same time, sworn foreign enemies reach into our electronic public squares disguised as equals among us sowing discontent with our achievements and fear of our differences.

Technology allows all people to see the facts and listen to all the arguments instantaneously. As humans that walk this inspiring earth true to our collective faith in both God, and science, we live among each other with the tools the Founding Fathers must have only dreamed we would have available to help our structures of governance. Today, was able to "google" that 331,025,528 Americans enjoy life as defined by an ever changing experiment in democracy.
If successful in my campaign to become the first federally elected no party affiliation write-in candidate since Reconstruction, then look forward to inviting an equal numbers of fellow members from our nation's two current major political parties to join me in round table discussions of the issues facing the United States. Confident that the product of these conversation will become the future cornerstone of bi-partisan legislation. Members will be invited to attend these meetings hosted by my office. Invitations will be extended to both the House leadership for themselves, or their designated Representative, to participate. And, individuals that have displayed well mannered extraordinary cognitive abilities in dealing with members sitting across the aisle will be personally invited by me after sharing a meal, or beverage together. Expect the group to be a flexible breathing group of colleagues lead by someone NOT from the two major parties. Refreshing.

Believe the House of Representatives will see greater number of laws streamlined/rewritten than ever before... with my "yes" vote being the 218th more often, than not!

The United States wants a centrist today, because we need a centrist tomorrow!
