John C. Rambo is the chancellor for the First District Chancery Court, which presides over Carter, Johnson, Unicoi, and Washington counties in Tennessee.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Bill Haslam on August 6, 2013, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of G. Richard Johnson.[2] Rambo ran for election to the court and was elected unopposed on August 7, 2014, for an eight-year term expiring August 31, 2022.[3][4]

Rambo received his undergraduate degree from East Tennessee State University in 1991 and his J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1994.[2]
