Iowa State Executive Term Length, Amendment 2 (1972)
The Iowa State Executive Term Length Amendment, also known as Amendment 2, was on the ballot in Iowa on November 7, 1972, as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. It was approved. The measure established four-year terms for governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, auditor of state, treasurer of state and attorney general.[1][2]
