Howell Cobb (1922-2005) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

Cobb was nominated to the Eastern District of Texas by President Ronald Reagan on February 26, 1985, to a new seat created by 98 Stat. 333; he was confirmed by the Senate on April 3, 1985, and received commission on April 4, 1985. He assumed senior status on March 1, 2001. He served the Eastern District of Texas until his death on September 16, 2005.[1] Cobb was succeeded in this position by Ron Clark.
