Travis-Howard ran for election to the Orphans Court of Howard County.
Primary: She was successful in the Republican primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 48.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Ellen Harrison. Both candidates ran unopposed in the primary.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 16.9 percent of the vote. She competed against Nicole Bormel Miller, Ellen Harrison, and incumbent judges Anne Dodd and Leslie Smith Turner for three open seats.
