An effort in Rockland, Massachusetts, to recall Selectman Edward Kimball was initiated in July 2018. Kimball resigned after petitioners began gathering signatures for a recall.[1]
Recall supporters
Petitioners accused Kimball of unethically inserting himself into a sexual misconduct investigation between former Selectman Deidre Hall and Town Administrator Allan Chiocca.[1]

Petitioners submitted an affidavit declaring their intent to recall Kimball on July 24, 2018, and the town clerk approved the petition for circulation. Petitioners were actively gathering signatures when Kimball chose to resign on July 31, 2018.[1]
