Impact of redistricting

New maps were approved by the Delaware General Assembly in late June 2011. Two New Castle County districts were moved. The 11th District, held by Greg Lavelle (who rann for the District 4 Senate seat in 2012), was moved south of Middletown and extended to northwestern Kent County. The 20th District, held by Nick Manolakos (who ran for re-election in District 22), was relocated to eastern Sussex County and covered Milton and Lewes.[3]
Qualifications
Article II, Section 3 of the Delaware Constitution states: No person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained the age of twenty-four years, and have been a citizen and inhabitant of the State three years next preceding the day of his election, and the last year of that term an inhabitant of the Representative District in which he shall be chosen, unless he shall have been absent on the public business of the United States or of this State.
