I live in southwest Fort Collins with my fiancé, Tom. We have four beautiful girls between us, ages 17-30. The youngest attends our local neighborhood public school.

I’m a small business owner and a lay pastor who has worked tirelessly for our most vulnerable children as a Guardian Ad Litem, a Resource Parent for foster children, the Executive Director of Children’s Programs for the Shepherd’s Way, a PTO Board Member, and as an award-winning teacher and an Assistant Principal. I understand the needs of families in Colorado as well as the intricate details of our educational system.

I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Empowerment Society International and the School of Sustainability Liberia.

Having written policy for both education and underdeveloped countries, I also recognize the devastating impact poorly thought-out policy decisions can have on our community, our county, and our state.

Education: • BA Communications, Florida Atlantic University • MA Liberal Studies; Graduate Certificate International Policy Development, Duke University • Graduate Certificate Educational Leadership, Nova Southeastern University.

  • Small Business: Small business owners should be able to run their businesses free from government overreach
  • Affordability: Coloradans should live free from unnecessary taxes and fees – especially those that contribute to higher
  • Public Education: Parents should have the freedom to choose how and where their children are educated.
• Crime

• Homelessness
• Behavioral Healthcare (Mental health & substance abuse)

• Environmental Issues (Clean, affordable, reliable energy; Clean water; Clean air)

• Purpose – STAND FOR SOMETHING!
A public education system that leads the country in academic excellence; a haven for small business owners; and a state that is safe and affordable for young adults, families and retirees alike.
No. I DO believe that our legislators should have real-world experience and a proven record of success.

I believe my time running a high-performing, low-income, ethnically diverse K-8 school (1500+ students) will prove to be a great asset when it comes to legislating.

My experience writing policy for educational and underdeveloped organizations will also prove beneficial.
Absolutely. Building positive relationships and sound policy serve the community. And serving the community IS the job.
It is both. Although we are elected by the public as individuals, we must work together, and that often involves compromise. Legislators must advocate for their constituents while remaining curious and open minded about and respectful of the positions of others.
