David Maxwell
David Maxwell (Republican Party) was a member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing District 76. He assumed office on January 1, 2013. He left office on January 1, 2023.
Maxwell (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives to represent District 53. He lost in the Republican primary on June 7, 2022.
Biography
Maxwell grew up in the Deep River area, graduated from Montezuma High School in 1961, worked for three years to earn money for college, and then attended the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University. Before finishing college, he spent three years in the U.S. Army, one of them in Pleiku, Republic of Vietnam. Upon returning to civilian life, he went into the farm tiling business with his cousin. In 1974, he decided to go into business for himself.[1]

- AGC of Iowa (Associated General Contractors), member
- Legion Post 296 of Deep River, member and commander

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 14, 2014. Eric Pederson was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent David Maxwell was unopposed in the Republican primary.
