|- I am running in a contested Republican primary. I am a lifelong Republican, while my opponent has never previously voted in a Republican primary. She has always been a Democrat before this year.
- I have been endorsed by the Republican parties in Delaware County, Fairfield County, Licking County, Perry County, and Richland County, and I have been endorsed by the Buckeye Firearms Association too.
- When I worked in the Ohio Attorney General's office I successfully defended Ohio's state motto "With God All Things Are Possible" when the ACLU sued Ohio in federal court to block the use of that motto. Those words remain Ohio's motto today as a result of that case.
