Dan Meyer (b. January 1, 1949) is a former Wisconsin Secretary of Natural Resources. He was appointed to the position by Republican Governor Scott Walker in 2017. He replaced former Secretary Cathy Stepp, who took a position with President Donald Trump's administration.[1]

Meyer is a former Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 34th District from 2001 to 2013. Prior to his election he served as Mayor of Eagle River from 1997-2001.

Meyer is also the former Executive Director of the Eagle River Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center. He is a member of American Legion Post 431 and Vilas County Republican Party.[2]

Meyer was re-elected to Wisconsin State Assembly District 34. He defeated Democrat Merlin Van Buren and Libertarian Will Losch in the general election on November 2, 2010. He was unopposed in the September 14, 2010, primary election. [3]
