Dan K. Morhaim (b. December 27, 1948) is a former Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 11 from 1995 to 2019. Morhaim served as deputy majority leader.

Biography

Morhaim's professional experience includes working as n emergency physician at Sinai Hospital, stadium physician with the Baltimore Orioles, Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland Medical School, Baltimore County Fire Surgeon, Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Franklin Square Hospital, and Medical Director of Region III at the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services System.

Elections for the Maryland House of Delegates took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 24, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 25, 2014. Shelly Hettleman and incumbents Dan Morhaim and Dana M. Stein defeated Don Engel, Alex B. Leikus and Theodore Levin in the Democratic primary, while Laura Harkins was unopposed in the Republican primary. Hettleman, Morhaim and Stein defeated Harkins for three seats in the general election.[1][2][3]

On November 7, 2006, Dan Morhaim ran for District 11 of the Maryland House of Delegates, winning the second of three seats, losing to Jon Cardin but beating Dana Stein, Patrick Dyer, Patrick Abbondandolo, and Dave Goldsmith.[5]
