Biography
Thompson, who has been a pastor for 17 years, has said that he ran for Congress to fix the root problem in America. According to Thompson, that is "turning away from our constitution and the biblical principles that made our nation exceptional." Thompson also added that “As we continue to turn further away, our nation continues to get worse in numerous ways. Until we return to these, nothing in America will change. We must address the root problem and not the symptoms.”[1] Thompson has started two different churches, and helped a third recover from a church split.[2]
