Charles Alexander was born in Bessemer, Alabama. He attended Grambling State University for undergraduate and graduate study. His career experience includes working as a senior revenue examiner. He has been affiliated with the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.[1]

I am a long life resident of Bessemer, AL. I have 12 years of Tax/Revenue experience with the City of Bessemer, where I served as Department Head. I earned my B.S in Accounting and Economics at Grambling State University. I also received a dual Masters Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Public Management and Human Resource Management . I attend New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. I have a proven record of being a positive influencer and a great leader. With a combination of my work experience , educational background. and my knowledge , skills and abilities In Tax revenues, I am qualified and looking forward to making a positive change within Jefferson County.
My passion is serving my community and surrounding areas.
I look up to my Mother, Tondry Alexander- Wright. She is passionate and unselfish. Her work ethic inspired me to do work harder and strive to make those around me better.
Unselfish , passionate , and willingness to help others.
I am accountable , approachable , and available to the public . I am a servant who enjoys working and helping others .
The understanding of knowing he/she is working for the tax payers. Make decisions that is best for community as a whole.
I would like to leave a job better than it was before I started it. Empower those around me.
McDonalds in Brighton, AL. I worked there for 8 months.
Bible. When I have challenging days , I can always find a scripture to put things in perspective for me.
Properly collecting taxes for the state, federal , and local municipalities.
I believe experience is beneficial for office holders. I believe 8-10 years of work experience and a strong educational background in Accounting/Finance.
