Charles A. Apotheker is a former acting justice of the Rockland County Supreme Court in the 9th Judicial District of New York. He was appointed to this position in 2009. He also served as a judge for the Rockland County Court from 2007 to 2016.[1][2]

Apotheker is currently the supervising judge of the 9th Judicial District.[3]

Education

Apotheker received his B.B.A. degree from the City College of New York in 1968 and his J.D. degree from St. John's University Law School in 1973.[4]

Career

Apotheker began his career in 1974 as an attorney with the Rockland County Department of Law and as a general practice attorney. He left the Rockland County position in 2002, but continued to work as a private practice attorney until his election to the Rockland County Court at the end of 2006. From 1980 to 2006, he also served as a Town Justice of Haverstraw, NY. In 2007, he became a county court judge, a Supervising Judge (Justice Courts, 9th Judicial District) and a Presiding Judge of the Superior Court. In 2008, he began presiding over the Drug Court and, in 2009, he became an Acting Supreme Court Justice.[4]
