Charles Van Zant
Charles E. Van Zant is a former Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 19 from 2008 to 2016.
Van Zant did not seek re-election to the Florida House of Representatives in 2016 because he was term-limited.
Biography
Van Zant's professional experience includes working as the owner of Van Zant Associates, an architect with Bruce McCarty and Associates, an architect with Kemp, Bunch, and Jackson, an architect with Reynolds, Smith and Hills, and an architect with Richmond Construction Company and Tafel-Schickli Associates.[1]

Elections for the Florida House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 26, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 20, 2014. Incumbent Charles Van Zant was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[3][4]
2012
Van Zant won election in the 2012 election for Florida House of Representatives District 19. Van Zant ran unopposed in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012, and was unchallenged in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[5]
2010
Van Zant won re-election to the 21st District seat in 2010. He had no opposition in the August 24 primary or in the general election, which took place on November 2, 2010.[6]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Van Zant won election to the Florida House of Representatives from Florida's 21st District, defeating Linda Meyers (D). Van Zant received 32,279 votes in the election while Myers received 30,396 votes.[7] Van Zant raised $266,911 for his campaign; Myers raised $193,967.[8]
