I am a Christian and a moderate Republican. I believe in the individual's right to make their own decisions. Having worked 40+ years in industry (in many countries, industries, and fields) I have earned the wisdom that comes with life experience. I have worked and lived among many different cultures, races & political systems having lived/worked/travelled in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, India, and Sri Lanka.

I believe that Congressional Representatives look out for and facilitate Americans, as individuals, to make decisions about their choices in life, and not force a point of view. We want a government that knows how to effectively use our precious hard earned taxpayers’ money, for all Americans. This money is not unlimited. Neither is the leveraging of this money with debt – government issued bonds – an unlimited supply of funds.

In 1995 I invented Westport Malaysia’s 7-hour port hinterland strategy. Westport was then a $1 billion port infrastructure project in the shadow of the largest container port in the world, the Port of Singapore Authority. With this strategy by 2006 Westport grew to 6th largest port in the world.

Among my many business & scientific innovations, I invented a new bank product Home Equity Line for Self-Insured Servicing (HELSIS). It will reduce mortgage defaults by up to 70% & similarly reduce bank risk capital, but Congress won't listen, thus my running for CA CD 16.

  • Economy-Jobs: Inflation has spiked. Even though inflation may be temporary, its effects are permanent. This is happening because Quantitative Easing (though necessary at one time) is the major source of excess money supply and needs to be eliminated. Combined with supply-chain issues we have too much money chasing too few goods, and thus inflation. As long as Quantitative Easing exist, we will have inflation. That is, by 2024 I estimate that $1 worth today will only be worth $0.80. That is a tremendous hidden tax on our earnings. This will hamper job creation.
  • Excessive Government Overreach: Results in wasted taxpayers’ money and forces the need to increase taxes. Two examples. (i) Our Federal Budget of $550 billion for clean energy policies and discriminating against non-union based companies is wasted. Did you know that Emissions CO2 only accounts for 0.001% of Atmospheric CO2? That global warming due to increasing Atmospheric CO2 is entirely due to deforestation. Therefore this $550 billion is entirely wasted, and free markets should determine which of the new technologies should succeed. (ii) Did you know that the US spends $8,815/person on COVID relief while Sweden spends $4,831/person, but US mortality rate is 213 per 100,000 persons while Sweden’s is 147! Public health policy failure.
  • Bad Education: Good education leads to good jobs and bad education leads to poorly paid jobs. Employers can tell. Our schools are failing our children teaching race-based Marxist theory under the guise of Critical Race Theory. They should teach that we are all one American with equal rights under the law, like Dr Martin Luther King did.
Federal Budget and Education. Both of these are the primary drivers of our economy and thus the quality of jobs for our citizens. The Federal Budget has been mismanaged, and our education system is failing our children.

I have laid down 3 rules (i) Funding Rule, Deficit < 33% Individual Tax base. Currently, Individual Income Taxes and Payroll Taxes account for 85% of the budget, thus any deficit is supported by issuing Treasury bonds. This in turn increases the Net Interest on Public Debt and is an unproductive burden to the government’s tax receipts forcing tax increases in subsequent years. (ii) Disposable Income Rule, Individual Taxes (W2 Taxes) < 80% of Total Receipts, as the less we tax individuals the more they have to spend in our consumer economy thus buoying the economy. And (iii) Leverage Rule, Public Debt < 40% of GDP, this ensure that there isn’t excess money in the economy and reduces both inflation opportunities and future Net Interest on Public Debt burden to the taxpayer.

When our woke children are shouting down a diversity of ideas they do not agree with, it shows that they do not have the intellectual finesse to debate issues. That is the failure of our education system.
Consider what Jesus had to say, do, and infer why. Understand the Bible and don't politicize the biblical teachings.

I loved watching the Netflix series, Maid, Outlander, Blacklist, Gilmore Girls and The Queen’s Gambit.
Listen to what the people have to say. Talk to your peers on both sides of the aisle. Surround yourself with good advisors whether you may agree with them or not and make decisions that is best for your Congressional District in the long run.
A sophisticated understanding of finance, innovation, and manufacturing.

A good listener. Patience. A very good thinker. Doer. Making people accountable.

Having the wisdom of 40+years working in industry in many different countries, industries, and fields.
Look out for the American people, make sure that our laws are fair to all citizens, and that these laws are market savvy where applicable.
Grew the economy substantially and created lots of good jobs by working with all stakeholders.
No, I believe that is a disadvantage, because they would not have had industry exposure, and therefore, not know when industry really needs their help and when to call their bluff.
Getting our Federal, State and Local budgets back on track so that we don’t burden our taxpayers with excessive federal, state, and local taxes. Once we have accomplished this by eliminating wasteful spending, we can focus on international issues.
Our Representatives may be more productive if it were 3-year terms.
I believe that term limits are a must as it ensure that new blood has a say in our government. Term limits should be long enough so that productive officials have a longer say in our government while the period between elections should be short so that voters can kick out unproductive officials. At least that is the theory.
Most people I have spoken with either say that they no longer believe their government or want to have nothing to do with it. What an indictment of Congress.
Compromise should be one of the strategies for negotiating a deal but on a case-by-case basis. However, one should make every effort to convince all parties that there is a correct way to solve a problem, first.
I would ensure that our taxpayers can bear the burden of these bills and have laid down 3 Federal Budget rules to ensure this, (i) Funding Rule, Deficit < 33% Individual Tax base, (ii) Disposable Income Rule, Individual Taxes (W2 Taxes) < 80% of Total Receipts and (iii) Leverage Rule, Public Debt < 40% of GDP.

Campaign website

Solomon's campaign website stated the following:

Rebuild Public Safety:

Organized mob violence and crime is spreading throughout California. It will soon be in our neighborhoods if we don’t do something about it.

Wall Street Journal published an article documenting the madness in California.

Do we want more crime?

Do we want Progressive mob rule?

Control Inflation:

Our Progressive Government claims that this is temporary, but did you know that inflation’s effects are permanent?

Inflation has shot up to an unprecedented 8.5% last seen almost 40 years ago. That was hell then.

Reduce Taxes:

Taxes are going up because the Progressives passed a $4 trillion budget by gaming it to look like a $1.5 trillion budget.

Are we stupid? Interest rate sensitivity analysis shows that during high inflation (which we are in now) taxes must go up by up to 2.6x to pay interest on public debt.

The Progressive tax shocker - coming soon

Rebuild Education-Jobs:

Our grade school education is so bad that our ivy league universities have to import foreign students to maintain their standards!

If that does not matter, remember a lousy education gets a lousy job. Employers know.

Stop Government Overreach:

Our Progressive Congress is manufacturing false urgencies to get us to vote for them and make us believe that they are doing something critically important. How?

Our forefathers fought for our freedoms. This Progressive Congress is taking away our freedoms little by little and increasingly telling us what we cannot do.

Global Warming is not due to Emissions CO2 (or 0.001% of Atmospheric CO2)! Do the calculations yourselves.

It is impossible to reduce Atmospheric CO2 with the $550 billion clean policies of Build Back Better which addresses a minuscule part of the problem! It is a waste of taxpayers’ hard-earned money.

Our Public Health Policies are all wrong!

Sweden spends less than half per person than the US on COVID relief but gets half the death rate! That means 350,000 American would be alive if we just followed Sweden’s example. Why are we following China’s?

Make Congress Responsible:

Having a decade in Stress Testing, I have proposed 5 rules for Congressional Budget Management.

Remember it is not Congress’ money, it is our taxpayers’ money and Congress should be acting as responsible stewards of our money.

Can we reduce mortgage defaults?

Yes. Quantitative Easing averted a financial meltdown of the US economy in 2009-2010 by saving the banks.

How about mortgage borrowers? HELSIS is the new bank product I invented in 2020 to protect mortgage holders and thus banks.

Replace False Ideology:

Stop teaching false ideology in schools.

Its purpose is to make our children believe that their future is not up to them but the state.

Identity Politics, Critical Race Theory & Woke.

CRT has many scientific mistakes.

I lived in a country that practiced Identity Politics for 52 years and can confirm that it is a version of apartheid.

White Guilt is false! It is belief slavery.

This white guilt false narrative teaches our children that they cannot do better because of who they were born to.[3]
