Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on March 4, 2014, receiving 52.7 percent of the vote. He competed against incumbent Donald R. Pozzi.
General: He defeated Ron Reyna in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 72.1 percent of the vote.

Education
Zeller earned a bachelor's of business administration from University of Houston, going on to receive an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University.[5]
Career
Zeller has experience working in banking and finance. Prior to becoming a judge, he served as a loan officer at Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (TDECU). Before that, he worked in commercial lending at Wells Fargo.[5]
