Biography
Education
Jaffe received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from Syracuse University in 1974 and 1981, respectively. She then attended Brooklyn Law School and received her J.D. degree in 1984.[1]
Career
Jaffe began her career in 1984 as an associate appellate counsel to The Legal Aid Society. She then worked as a principal court attorney to an Acting Justice of the Supreme Court from 1986 to 1995 and to a Justice of the Supreme Court from 1995 to 2002. That year, she was elected to a nine-year term on the New York City Civil Court. Since 2010, she has served as an acting justice of the Supreme Court.[1]
