|- Reduce and Solve Crime - New Orleans has one of the lowest crime clearance rates for cities of our size. Our forensic programs are severely underdeveloped with important modern policing tools like DNA testing labs, ballistic testing equipment, and rape kit testing being underfunded, understaffed, or in the case of DNA Testing, nonexistent. As someone with a degree in Law Enforcement, I want to work to urgently utilize funds from the American Recovery Act to create modern crime solving capacity for our city. Victims of crime deserve justice, and falsely accused New Orleans residents deserve to be exonerated – forensics can do both of those things.
- Implement Mental Health and Addiction Crisis Outreach Teams - New Orleans has a mental health and substance abuse crisis. Many calls regarding this crisis have to be manned by NOPD which keeps them from handling and solving violent crimes. I will work to provide funding so that 911 calls regarding mental health and substance abuse issues should be routed to paramedics, mental health/substance abuse clinicians and peer specialists.
- Creation of the Office of Nightlife and Culture - The Office of Nightlife and Culture would be based on similar offices in cities like New York and San Francisco and would be tasked with after 5pm permitting, code enforcement, and supporting our small businesses and culture bearers. The commission would also handle noise complaints in a way that respects our neighbors’ right to sleep and peace but also protects the cities right to music and cultural celebrations. The office would also handle permits for cultural events, such as secondlines, and would streamline the current lengthy permitting process.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
