In Trustee Area 2, incumbent Lynn Cogdill faced two challengers, Ed McIntyre and Jimmy Monreal. McIntyre defeated Cogdill and Monreal to win the seat. Trustee Area 4 incumbent Maria Velarde-Garcia ran against challengers Philip Huerta and Ron Montoya and won her bid for re-election. Newcomer Al Galvez ran unopposed and won election to Trustee Area 5 by default. The Trustee Area 7 race featured incumbent Jose Rodriguez and challenger Brent A. Fernandes. Fernandes defeated Rodriguez and won the election.
