Anne Dodd is chief judge for the Orphans Court of Howard County in Howard County, Maryland. She was elected to the court in November 2010, and assumed office on December 8, 2010.[1] Dodd won re-election to another term in 2014.[2]

Primary: She was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 29.0 percent of the vote. She competed against Shari Lynne Chase, Nicole Bormel Miller, and incumbent Judge Leslie Smith Turner. Primary candidates competed for 3 seats.
General: She faced Nicole Bormel Miller, Emma Travis-Howard, Ellen Harrison, and incumbent Judge Leslie Smith Turner in the general election on November 4, 2014, and won with 22.6 percent of the vote. Candidates competed for three open seats.

Dodd was elected to the Orphans Court of Howard County in the general election on November 2, 2010, (along with Leslie Smith Turner and incumbent Sherae McNeal) after receiving 18.95 percent of the vote.[4]

Education
Dodd received a bachelor's degree from Radford College (now Radford University). She has also taken classes at the University of Virginia, the University of Madrid, and Stratford College.[5]
