Anna Blodgett was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 15 of the Maine State Senate. She withdrew following the primary.[1]

Blodgett is a former Democratic member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 56 from 2008 to 2012.

Blodgett is retired. She previously served as Director of Parks, Cemeteries and Trees for the City of Augusta.

Blodgett is a member of the Augusta Planning Board, Friends of Lithgow Library Board of Directors, Kennebec Historical Society, Penney Memorial Baptist Church, Augusta Tree Board, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and the Bicentennial Committee of the City of Augusta.[2]

Elections for the Maine State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 10, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for party candidates wishing to run in this election was March 17, 2014. The deadline for write-in candidates to run in the primary election was April 28, 2014, and the deadline for non-party candidates to run in the general election was June 2, 2014. Anna Blodgett was unopposed in the Democratic primary but withdrew afterwards; she was replaced by Rebecca Cornell du Houx. Incumbent Roger Katz was unopposed in the Republican primary. Katz defeated Blodgett in the general election.[3][4][5][6]
