Wyoming State Senate elections, 2014
Elections for the Wyoming State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 19, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was May 30, 2014.
Following the general election, there was no change to the majority control of the Wyoming State Senate. The chamber's overall composition did not change, with the Republican Party emerging from the election still holding 26 seats and the Democratic Party maintaining four seats.

Qualifications
Section 2 of Article 3 of the Wyoming Constitution states, "Senators shall be elected for the term of four (4) years and representatives for the term of two (2) years. The senators elected at the first election shall be divided by lot into two classes as nearly equal as may be. The seats of senators of the first class shall be vacated at the expiration of the first two years, and of the second class at the expiration of four years. No person shall be a senator who has not attained the age of twenty-five years, or a representative who has not attained the age of twenty-one years, and who is not a citizen of the United States and of this state and who has not, for at least twelve months next preceding his election resided within the county or district in which he was elected."
Competitiveness
Candidates unopposed by a major party
In 12 of the 15 districts up for election in 2014, there was only one major party candidate running for election. Two Democrats and ten Republicans were guaranteed election barring unforeseen circumstances. Candidates from both major parties faced off in the general election in three of the 15 districts up for election.
Primary challenges
A total of six incumbents faced primary competition on August 19. Two incumbents did not seek re-election in 2014 and another seven incumbents advanced past the primary without opposition.
- District 1: Incumbent Ogden Driskill defeated Judy McCullough and Tony Johnson in the Republican primary.
- District 5: Incumbent Fred Emerich defeated Lynn Hutchings in the Republican primary.
- District 15: Incumbent Paul Barnard defeated Karl Allred in the Republican primary.
- District 25: Incumbent Cale Case defeated Allen Whiteman, Jennifer McCarty and Joe Malek in the Republican primary.
- District 27: Incumbent Bill Landen defeated Kara Rae Linn in the Republican primary.
- District 29: Incumbent Drew Perkins defeated Bob Ide in the Republican primary.
