Tim Collins 17th District Vote For Tim Collins, 17th District

I am Tim Collins, and am running for State Representative of the 17th district. I truly believe we have too many politicians that don't have real life experiences, and this results in no real life solutions. If you choose to elect me as your state representative, I plan to bring real life experiences with real life changes!

I am a victim of the broken judicial system. I was falsely accused when I was a minor, in and out of foster care, and given a public defender that was not equipped to handle my case. Once in the system, I was constantly being dragged down, and I had no hope. I'm disgusted and I want to make changes to insure that the judicial system is doing just that: Providing Justice!

I pushed my way through the corruption to get where I am today. I want to give that hope to others as well. I look forward to working with everyone on the issues we face here in Delaware.

I look up to Pastor Gary Whetstone and pastor Jon Hooper and his wife who taught me well on standing my ground. Many days I wanted to give up, but they always gave me the courage to stand.

Elvis Presley was one of my favorite musicians whom I actually had the privilege of paying tribute to. Watching him go from poverty level to the king of rock n roll was encouraging.

Evangelist Billy Graham who always had a message of hope.

Judge Charles H Toliver IV who always saw the best in me.
I have had real life experiences as a child in the family court system, taken away from my family, and watching a family court destroy it. I have been in the judicial system over false allegations, and because I could not afford an attorney it led to a plea bargain I should have never taken. I will stand up for those in poverty. I will stand up for those falsely accused. I will stand up to ensure that our justice system is just for all! Liberty and Justice for All!
First and foremost you should always be made available to your community, and ensure that your community is thriving.

Your second duty is to ensure that legislation being put on the floor is constitutional, and benefits the needs of our community.
When I leave office, I would like to ensure there are bills in place that allow the public defenders to represent their clients to the fullest.I would also want to see bills in place to protect our seniors, and always make sure our veterans are getting priority to the benefits they deserve.
My life was turned upside down over a false allegation and no money for an attorney. I was 15
Conquering Your Unseen Enemies: How Jesus Sets You Free by Dr. Gary Whetstone.

This is a spiritual book, but it made me think and react to situations in my life in a whole new way. I had to stop saying why did these bad or wrong problems happen to me; I now say how or what I can do to fix these problems.
“I Am A Real American” Hulk Hogan: Fight for what's right, fight for your life!
I was forced to be on a sex offender registry over a false allegation. I really struggled, and even lived in a tent at one point. I went from living in a tent to a conversion van, to a RV, then a one bedroom trailer, and now living in a single family house.

That situation was a huge struggle! As I stated before, I pushed through the corruption! To get to where I am today! I am proud of everything that I have experienced because these experiences are what will help me bring real life changes to the legislature.

Charles H Tolliver, the same judge who ruled over my criminal case, showed up on my behalf to my pardon board hearing. The pardon board asked if I was still denying the offense: my answer was and is still YES. I was then granted a full pardon under a manifest injustice. I was later able to get it expunged.
I truly believe you should be required to take a class on the US constitution so you know and understand the oath in which you are taking.
Strengthening the Union workforce to turn Delaware's economy around.

Tackle the opioid addiction with programs that work, remove or better the programs that exist.

Boost our public defender's office with more attorneys and resources to represent people to the fullest extent of the law.

Make sure health care is affordable for all.
As a legislature, your job is to put an idea on paper, send it to the attorneys to make it legal, send it through the vetting process through committee meetings, and ensure that research has been done before submitting so that the governor has confidence in that bill.
It is very beneficial to build relationships with other legislators so that we can all work across the State and to hopefully find a happy middle ground for all.
I would like to sit on the family law commission, criminal justice Council, sex offender management board, Veteran Affairs, the Department of Aging.
I have seen both Democrats and Republicans and the way they act very party like mindset. I have always been a fan of State Representative Mike Ramone and Mike Smith, Senator Dave Lawson, Senator Anthony Delcollo who work for a happy medium and do what's best for Delaware while Always upholding the US Constitution.
Living in a district that has a very high poverty rate, it breaks my heart to walk around and see the amount of people who are homeless, on drugs, or have lost hope because of a failing state. The amount of people that have been destroyed because of a failing criminal justice system.
