Collapse all
|- We must fix the broken, short-sighted "band-aids on gashes" our political class calls "solutions". This requires a new view on politics, and a new generation of leadership. We need "A New Future for West Virginia".
- West Virginia requires a comprehensive look at, if not an outright overhaul of, our education system. State scores in reading/language arts, mathematics, and other subjects are on a decline. If we want our bright minds to prosper, both today and in future generations, we must prepare them to best utilise their talents in novel ways.
- Too many of our political class worships the GDP as the end-all-be-all, and unfortunately views our populace as statistics, even if it isn't intentional for some (as long as the line is going up, that means everything is fine). This needs to change. We must promote better policies for West Virginian workers, so that our working-class can flourish and provide for their families, especially when the cost of living and the stresses of our current economy is rising.
A passive one I remember was the Great Recession when I was six.
