Trish Ladner a Mother, business owner, community leader and a candidate for the 30th District House of Representatives in the state of South Dakota. A Christian, conservative Republican, with common sense values who believes in limited government, low taxes and less regulation. With business experience that counts having built a marketing business from the ground up, she understands firsthand the challenges a business owner and their families face every day. These challenges that will be even greater as businesses face rebuilding, re-inventing and re-assessing their future needs after the pandemic that will require critical thinking and concise decision making.

The people of District 30 expect their elected officials to work hard, represent their values every day and that is exactly what she intends to do. With small town roots and family in South Dakota, Trish is dedicated to serving you the people of the 30th District.

  • I understands firsthand the challenges business owners and their families will face after the pandemic subsides and begin reopening their businesses and towns.
I am passionate about small businesses not just surviving, but thriving! With almost 20 percent of the state's income coming from tourism, I understands firsthand the challenges business owners and their families will face after the pandemic subsides and begin reopening the businesses and towns. It is going to take critical, thinking and legislative support to restart the businesses and cultivate their future tourism numbers within the 30th District.
I am a strong communicator with the ability to listen. With my extensive background in for-profit and non-profit business management including digital marketing, social media management, I believe I possess the tools necessary to weight the pros and cons of an issue and make an educated decision that will benefit my district and my state.
The first historic event in my lifetime that I remember is the assignation of President Kennedy. I was in 5th grade and the principal closed the school and sent us all home. I remember the profound sense of grief that spread throughout the community.
Next Level Thinking by Joel Osteen. It's an uplifting book that encourages you to draw from the gifts and talents that are already within you rising higher to the next level.
No. We need less politicians and more people in office who understand business and real life challenges.
One of our biggest challenges that South Dakota faces over the next decade is the challenge creating jobs and professional opportunities that will keep our younger population within the state and encourages others to move here.
Building good relationships with other legislators is key to bipartisan discussion and open communication helping to facilitate the best results for our constituents and our state.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in South Dakota

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
