Decker ran in the 2012 election for North Dakota State House District 30. Decker and Daphne Ghorbani ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 12. They were defeated by Diane Larson and incumbent Mike Nathe in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
