Tom Rice (Georgia)
Tom Rice is a former Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 95 from 1997 to 2017.
Rice did not seek re-election to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2016.
Biography
Rice's professional experience includes working as a partner and president with The Quality Group and United States industry training manager for IBM. He served in the United States Army Reserve from 1962 to 1968.[1]

Elections for the Georgia House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014, with runoff elections taking place where necessary on July 22, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Amreeta Regmi was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Thomas R. "Tom" Rice was unopposed in the Republican primary. Regmi was defeated by Rice in the general election.[6][7][8]

Rice ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 95. Rice ran unopposed in the Republican primary on July 31, 2012. Brooke Siskin ran unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[9] Rice defeated Brooke Siskin in the general election.[10]

In 2008 Rice was re-elected to the Georgia House of Representatives District 51. Rice (R) ran unopposed and finished with 18,017 votes.[13] Rice raised $21,843 for his campaign fund.[14]

Rice is an occasional guest speaker at the Christian Women's Club, Deacon at the Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, Captain of the Old Guard of the Gate City, and a member of the Spalding Bluff Home Owners Association, Gwinnett Philharmonic Advisory Board, and Life South Community Blood Bank Advisory Board.[1]
