Sheri Haugen-Hoffart (Republican Party) is a member of the North Dakota Public Service Commission. She assumed office on February 11, 2022. Her current term ends on January 1, 2027.
Haugen-Hoffart (Republican Party) ran in a special election to the North Dakota Public Service Commission. She won in the special general election on November 8, 2022.
Haugen-Hoffart was appointed to the commission by Gov. Doug Burgum (R) to replace Brian Kroshus (R), who resigned after being appointed as state tax commissioner in December 2021.[1]
Biography
Sheri Haugen-Hoffart was born in Rugby, North Dakota. Haugen-Hoffart earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks in 1988 and a master’s degree in management from the University of Mary at Bismarck in 1996. Her career experience includes working as a human resource officer with the North Dakota Office of State Tax Commissioner, a deputy state treasurer, the director of education of the North Dakota Securities Department, a coordinator with the University of North Dakota’s Division of Continuing Education, and the emergency service director of the Burleigh-Morton Chapter of the American Red Cross. Haugen-Hoffart has served on the board of directors of Capital Electric Cooperative.[1]
