Biography
Stan Gunter graduated from Habersham Central High School. Gunter earned a B.S. in chemistry from North Georgia College and a law degree from Woodrow Wilson College of Law. His career experience includes working as the district attorney with the Enotah Judicial Circuit and executive director of the Prosecuting Attorneys' Council.[1]

2010
Gunter ran for a seat on the Georgia Court of Appeals. He competed against Antoinette Davis, Adrienne Hunter-Strothers, Chris McFadden, James Babalola and David N. Schaeffer.[4] Gunter earned 11.4% of the vote, compared to James Babalola's 10.3%, Adrienne Hunter-Strothers's 12.1%, David N. Schaeffer's 18.0%, Chris McFadden's 22.6%, and Antoinette Davis's 25.5%. Therefore, he did not qualify for the runoff.[5]
