Stuart G. Nash
Stuart G. Nash was an associate judge for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was appointed to this position by President Barack Obama in June 2009, and was sworn in on June 4, 2010.[1] Nash resigned from the court on June 30, 2016.[2]
Education
Nash received his undergraduate degree from Duke University in 1987, and earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1991.[1]

After graduating from law school, Nash worked as a clerk for Judge Samuel Ervin, III of the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, and then for Judge T.S. Ellis of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. Following his clerkships, Nash was an associate at the firm of Williams & Connolly for three and a half years, and then worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia from 1997 to 2005. In 2005, Nash was appointed Director of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces Program, and he held that position until his appointment to the bench in 2010.[1]
