A City of Reedley Sales Tax, Measure G ballot question was on the February 5, 2008 ballot for voters in the City of Reedley in Fresno County, where it was approved.
Measure G imposed a new 1/2 cent sales tax in Reedley.
A two-thirds (66.67%) vote was required for approval. (In California, when the revenue from a proposed local sales tax measure will be earmarked for a specific purpose, it requires a two-thirds (66.67%) vote to pass. If, however, the proposed sales tax is not earmarked for any particular purpose but will instead go into the general fund of the local unit of government that will received the sales tax revenue, a simple majority is required for approval.)
