Raymond J. Elliott, III is a judge of the Supreme Court 3rd Judicial District of New York. He was elected to this position on November 8, 2011, (effective January 1) for a 14-year term ending on December 31, 2025. He previously served as a judge for the North Greenbush Town Court in Rensselaer County, New York.[1][2]

Elliott was elected to the New York Supreme Court 3rd Judicial District on November 8 in a four-way race for two open seats. Unofficial election results on November 9 showed a victory for Elliott with 25.58 percent of the vote. He narrowly edged out Catherine Cholakis, who trailed him by 76 votes.[1][3][4][5][6]

The Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commissions has rated Elliott as Qualified.[7]
Education
Elliot earned his B.A. from Colgate University in 1969. He earned his J.D. from the Albany Law School of Union University in 1972.[8]
