I am the eldest of seven children raised by hardworking, conservative parents who instilled a love of God, family, and country. As the eldest of seven, I know what it means to be a leader and be bold in the things that matter, such as always standing up for the U.S. Constitution and our Judeo-Christian heritage that have allowed this country to thrive. I am also a small business owner, starting Performance Farrier Services in 2016 upon graduating from the well-respected Montana State University Farrier program in 2015. This job has allowed me to travel the entire state, meet with various Montana residents, and hear all perspectives of Montanans, particularly those involved in ranching, farming, and outfitting. In addition, I am a columnist for the Western Ag Reporter, covering agricultural, political, and cultural issues from a rural, conservative perspective. Having interned for a U.S. Congressman and worked on various political campaigns, I understand and can identify entrenched interests and swamp creatures that do not have the best interests of Montanans at heart. I am uniquely qualified to have the honor of representing the fantastic people of Montana's 78th House District.
  • As a Christian, I am an ardent defender of faith in our country. I believe in protecting the religious freedom enshrined in our Constitution, as well as the Judeo-Christian tradition and all of the good things that stem from it.
  • The promotion and protection of the traditional family unit is among my top priorities. I believe that this is the foundation for a functioning society, and should be encouraged.
  • As a farrier, protecting the agricultural community is paramount to my campaign. Farmers and ranchers are the backbone of our country. In addition, ensuring access to our natural resources is vital and will be a focus of mine once elected.
I am personally passionate about agricultural and natural resource use and lessening the regulatory environment for those industries. Family policy is also extremely important to me; we need to address the declining birth rate in our country. Additionally, limiting the size and scope of government, reducing taxes, and promoting our Second Amendment are crucial.
In addition to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the top three historical figures I admire are Ronald Reagan for his undying optimism about America, Winston Churchill for his resolute backbone in the face of adversity, and Calvin Coolidge for his ability to cut back the size and scope of government.
I believe integrity, having good communication skills, and having a good work ethic are the most important characteristics for an elected official to possess.
Governor Greg Gianforte, Montana Farm Bureau Federation, Bridger Young Republicans

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Montana

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
