Rob Hotaling earned a Master of Community Service from the University of Connecticut (UConn) in 1999, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from UConn in 2001, executive leadership training from IBM in 2013, and post-graduate certificates from Stanford University in Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Strategy Implementation in 2020. Stanford executive training included focus on Organizational Behavior, Large-scale Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Accounting, and Corporate Finance. Rob started his career working at a tech startup during the 90's "dotcom" era and later moved on to various leadership roles and ultimately Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at companies of various sizes. He's also a serial entrepreneur, attracting investment and bringing quality products to market quickly and inexpensively as head of small-to-midsize businesses (SMBs). Prior to joining Webster Bank as SVP, Head of Digital Delivery, Rob was Founder of Verbi, a mobile-first automated gunshot and explosion detection platform, and also serves on several boards as an executive advisor.
  • Rob is running to make Connecticut more business friendly and a much more affordable place to live, work and retire.
  • If you want better election choices, consider Unaffiliated Independents who are the largest majority in Connecticut meaning we're looking for something different. It also means we can win.
  • To achieve real progress, we must heal the polarization in social dialog, and bring everyone with good ideas and open minds together to develop common sense solutions to our CT issues. I maintain that only an independent Governor, elected by the voters of Connecticut, can move our state past the partisan divide that has blocked our progress -- and into a position of genuine progress and prosperity.
