Ronald P. Wertheim is a senior judge on the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He was appointed to the court by President Ronald Reagan in October 1981. Wertheim retired from the court in 1992 and took senior status.[1][2]
Education
Wertheim received his undergraduate degree from the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce at the University of Pennsylvania in 1954 and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1957. In 1962, he received a degree from The Hague Academy of International Law.[1]

- 1977: Advisor to Secretary of Defense for Law of the Sea Negotiations; then Alternate U.S. Representative at the United Nations Conference on the Law of the Sea
- Attorney, Ginsburg, Feldman and Bress
- 1966-1968: Peace Corps Director in Northeast Brazil
- 1964-1966: Deputy General Counsel, Peace Corps
- 1959-1961: Assistant public defender in Philadelphia
- 1957-1959: Attorney in Philadelphia[1]
