I was born in Birmingham Alabama, raised in Petal Mississippi and relocated to Georgia in 2011. I am the single parent of a beautiful daughter and am committed to work to serve others and make a better life for the people in Georgia. I am a hard worker and am currently employed by a military contractor.
  • I want to insure a living wage for all citizens of Georgia by enacting legislation to ensure better wages.
  • I am passionate about women's rights and allowing women to be able to majke choices for themselves.
  • I place a high value on rights and services for Veterans of the Armed Forces. This includes mental health services, good housing options and any other help that is needed
I am personally passionate about living wages, women's rights and Veterans rights. I am passionate about helping people.
I would pick two presidents - Franklin D. Roosevelt and Barack Obama - as persons I look up to. They both brought America from a place of total disarray (falling economy, nonexistent housing etc) and helped working class citizens to reach a better place. I want to be so selfless that all I can see is the way to make life better for the working class citizens of my district.
I am fair - I am honest -I am hardworking - and above all I listen.
To listen to their constituents and vote on bills and laws accordingly and to leave personal feelings our of it.
I want to leave that legacy of making sure that the working class has a physical home to go to after a hard day's work I find it absurd that there is a class of people that work 1 or sometimes 2 jobs still can't afford a place to live for their families.
The first historical event I remember was the O.J. Simpson verdict. I was in the 6th grade at an all white school and we were all pulled into the library with other classes. What i remember most is that all of the teachers were crying and angry. And literally on the other side of the room, I saw custodians and grounds keepers crying tears of joy. I knew something major had happened and that it must have been important.
My first job was at Wendy's when I was 16. I worked there about 9 months and I loved making my own money and learning to be independent.
Between the World and Me by Ta-nehisi Coates
The greatest struggle that I experienced in my life was balancing my work life, my family life and my personal.
