Green Bay Press Gazette survey

Boucher participated in the following survey conducted by the Green Bay Press Gazette. The questions provided by the Green Bay Press Gazette are bolded, and Boucher's responses follow below:

Relevant experience: Bachelor of Science in sociology, The University of Wisconsin-Madison. I work in Washington D.C. at Georgetown University in the Office of the Registrar and was promoted the Georgetown University Law Center. Growing up in Green Bay; I attended private and public schools.

Why are you running for office?

I have followed the trials and tribulations of the GBPS through the media and by communicating with community members over many years. I have ideas that if included may help to build a more constructive environment for students, teachers and parents.

Are you satisfied with the district’s response to student behavior and discipline issues at Washington Middle School? Why or why not?

No, I think the school needs an “extreme makeover - school edition”. The school has an institutional feel to it rather than ambiance.

What do you consider to be the key issue or issues in this race and what would you do to address them?

We need to raise the graduation rates to 100%. It is a personal tragedy; every time a student is unable to advance in the educational setting to a level; that will position them for success for the rest of their life. I would like to turn the perspective of teaching from the teachers and their base of knowledge; and reorienting it to teaching the students based on the direction that the students are able to grow. Education needs to be integrated with life style including exercise and nutrition.

What makes you the best qualified candidate to hold this office?

I have a perspective that is unique.[1][5]
