Potential 2019 ballot measures

You can view the list of potential state ballot measures for the current year here.

This page contained potential statewide ballot measures during the 2019 cycle. The list included proposed initiatives that had been filed, were being reviewed, or were in the circulation phase to obtain signatures to be placed on a 2019 election ballot. It also included potential legislatively referred measures that had progressed at least roughly halfway through the legislative process required to reach the ballot. Colorado

There are no more potential measures in Colorado for 2019. All measures have either qualified for the ballot or failed to make the ballot.

Louisiana

The 2019 legislative session of the Louisiana State Legislature began on April 8, 2019, and adjourned on June 6, 2019, during which time legislators could refer measures to the ballot.

Maine

New Jersey

Ohio

Pennsylvania

On June 19, 2019, the Pennsylvania General Assembly referred Marsy's Law Crime Victims Rights Amendment to the ballot for November 5, 2019. The state legislature could not refer additional constitutional amendments.

Texas

The 2019 legislative session of the Texas State Legislature began on January 8, 2019, and adjourned on May 27, 2019, during which time legislators could refer measures to the ballot.

Washington

Referendum measures

Signatures for veto referendum petitions targeting laws passed in the 2019 regular legislative session were due on July 27, 2019. Signatures for one of five veto referendums filed in 2019 were submitted, and the measure was certified for the ballot.

Signatures for 2019 Initiatives to the People were due on July 5, 2019. Signatures were not submitted for any of the proposed/filed initiatives, therefore, they failed to qualify for the ballot.
