Oliver Perry Shiras
Oliver Perry Shiras (1833-1916) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Iowa.
He was nominated by President Chester Arthur on August 3, 1882. He was confirmed by the Senate on August 4, 1882, and received commission that same day.[1] He retired on November 1, 1903. Shiras was succeeded in this position by Henry Thomas Reed.
