Ohio Court Organization, Amendment 1 (October 1883)

The Ohio Court Organization Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the October 9, 1883 ballot in Ohio as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved. The measure replaced district courts with circuit courts and provided that the supreme court consist of five justices.[1]
