I am an advocate for the people.
  • I’ve been a public servant for 19 years as a Captain Firefighter. This allows me to expand my knowledge of handling issues on a larger platform
  • Elected leadership should be a ingrained in the communities they serve. This helps with accountability and sound decision making.
  • Voting is instrumental in shaving the right person represent you. As a representative my vote will reflect the voice and needs of the people.
The voting rights act is supported by me as well as building the middle class . The cost of living has increased yet minimum wages have remained stagnant. I believe we need a stronger base of people that can earn a livable wage while finding innovative ways to lower the cost of higher education. Fixing our infrastructure is a large task however, with fresh ideas and proper investments we can build a stronger Alabama.
Often we as humans fail to pass the baton to others so they too may learn and succeed. I would love to leave a legacy where people are motivated to pass the baton.
My first job was a nurse aide in high school. As a sophomore I wanted to help and we had an available co op program. It allowed us to leave school and work 3 days a week. I also worked for my mom as a data entry clerk. I held both jobs simultaneously for two years until graduation. They supplied me with contrasting skills that I rely on today and will never forget.
This relationship should be an effective checks and balances. It should be one that ensures goals, policies and legislative activities are accomplished and implemented in a positive way
Compromise is necessary in everyday life so it’s inevitable that compromises MUST be made for desirable policy making. I am a proponent of effective compromise.
